Vista AF Corse came within six seconds of an LMGT3 podium at the 6 Hours of Fuji as the #54 Ferrari 296 LMGT3 Evo finished fourth.
Thomas Flohr, Francesco Castellacci and Davide Rigon had started from 11th after qualifying was cancelled in heavy rain and the grid was set from combined practice times. The #54 moved into the top three during the opening hour as the first Safety Car changed the order, then stayed in the points fight through the middle of the race.
Rigon handled the closing phase and recovered positions in the final hour. The Ferrari crossed the line fourth, six seconds behind the class winner.
The sister #21 of François Hériau, Simon Mann and Alessio Rovera had a more volatile race. Hériau gained positions in the opening-lap disorder before a later spin cost ground. Rovera then set the fastest lap of the LMGT3 race while moving back towards the points.
That recovery ended in the final minutes when contact with a Hypercar forced the #21 to retire.
The result gave the #54 crew a second consecutive top-10 finish and moved Flohr, Castellacci and Rigon to 13 championship points. Ferrari reported that Hériau, Mann and Rovera remained on 54 points and slipped to seventh in the LMGT3 standings, 32 points from the lead.
For Vista AF Corse, Fuji delivered both sides of endurance racing in one afternoon: a clean late push to fourth for one car and a fastest-lap recovery cut short by contact for the other.
