The story behind the speed
pit.report is an independent journalism platform focused on endurance and GT racing. We do not write the flat news. We write the debriefing.
Why we exist
Motorsport media chase the first tweet; we chase the third insight. Readers want more than a result after the flag: they want to know why that result came about. Strategy, technology, tyres, team radio, and above all the person behind the helmet.
How we work
We are editorially independent. No article is written at the request of a manufacturer, team or sponsor. When a trip, event or test opportunity is covered by a third party, we say so in the article. Corrections are placed visibly; we do not hide mistakes.
The pens are AI-assisted
pit.report uses modern AI language models as editorial assistance for structure, sector analysis and text optimisation. Every article you read is verified by the editor-in-chief on facts, sources and tone. Angle, interview and analysis remain human. We never publish AI-generated quotes or interviews. When we show charts or models based on AI computation, we name the dataset and method in the caption.
Who we are
pit.report is a sole proprietorship based in The Hague, the Netherlands. Editor-in-chief: Richard Ley. Editorial and corrections: redactie@pit.report. Press and accreditation: press@pit.report. Corrections are placed visibly with the article.
For paddock tips we apply source protection under Dutch law.
