The Bend Manthey finally added its name to the 2026 LMGT3 winners' list in Barcelona. Yasser Shahin, Riccardo Pera and Richard Lietz won the class in the #92 Porsche 911 GT3 R on 18 October, giving the crew its first victory of the season.
FIA WEC's official race report describes the Porsche crew as dominating the class. The final FIA classification confirms #92 ahead of Garage 59's #10 McLaren, with Team WRT's #69 BMW third. Those finishing positions, rather than a snapshot from the fourth hour, establish the podium.
A first win in a changing category
The breakthrough came in the penultimate round, not at the start of a season-long sequence of wins. FIA WEC records seven different winners across the seven LMGT3 races held so far in 2026. The Bend Manthey's success extends that spread rather than interrupting a run of repeat winners.
That gives the Porsche result two scales. For Shahin, Pera and Lietz, it is their first class victory of the year. Across the category, it is another race in which a different crew has converted its opportunity into a win.
The result does not by itself establish a championship winner, nor does it justify a claim that one brand has become unbeatable. What can be said from the official report is narrower and stronger: this crew controlled the Barcelona class contest sufficiently to reach the finish first.
The finishing order matters
The final classification names Antares Au, Thomas Fleming and Marvin Kirchhöfer in the second-placed #10 Garage 59 McLaren. Anthony McIntosh, Parker Thompson and Daniel Harper completed the podium in the #69 Team WRT BMW.
An earlier FIA WEC update had placed the BMW ahead of the McLaren while the race was still running. The finish reversed that order. A mid-race position is therefore not evidence of a final podium place, and this report uses the FIA's race classification for the result.
The published evidence does not establish a specific overtake, pit-stop decision or penalty as the reason for that change. Attributing it to one would go beyond the sources checked. The important confirmed fact is the order that survived to the classification: Porsche, McLaren, BMW.
One round remains
The 2026 FIA WEC season concludes at Monza on 8 November. The Bend Manthey goes there with a Barcelona win now attached to its season, while LMGT3 has produced a different winner at every round so far.
For #92, the immediate achievement needs no invented radio message or prediction: Shahin, Pera and Lietz have turned their Barcelona race into the first class victory of their 2026 campaign.
